ABOUT
Montréal-based designer Gabriel Drolet-Maguire is a graduate of the École Supérieure de mode de Montréal (2017). Since obtaining his bachelor’s degree in fashion design, Drolet-Maguire has developed a signature style focused on illuminating aspects of life that typically remain in the shadows. His previous collections, SØRRY MØM and HONEYCUM, featured subversive runway shows at the Festival de Mode et Design de Montréal and were debuted in VICE Québec, where he explored themes of addiction, recovery, and sexuality.
Drolet-Maguire subsequently released DEAR VICKY, a collection addressing his HIV diagnosis and journey toward acceptance. The project launched with a fashion film and web campaign, followed by a runway presentation with LIGNE DE FUITES at WIP Gallery (2022). His creative work led to significant activism, including a feature in the documentary short “Ça va finir par finir” by Nancy Pettinicchio(2024). He has also collaborated with HIV-focused organizations such as Portail VIH/Sida du Québec and COCQ-SIDA.
Gabriel’s designs have been featured in numerous publications and music videos, as well as on television programs including The Traitors Canada, Canada’s Drag Race & RuPaul’s Drag Race: Global All Stars.
